GENERAL INFORMATION

The Library of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies is a subject branch of the Library of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

The book collection of the Department Library focuses on philosophical and religious studies literature and contains approx. 40,000 volumes, including journals, reference collections, final thesis collections, and basic literature from related fields. Part of the collection is available in the open stacks (12,000 books); the rest can be accessed upon request—usually within 90 minutes (after the end of the current class) or sooner. We offer the possibility of borrowing books off-site; for on-site study, we provide 15 study spaces. Students have access to five computers with internet connection and access to electronic information resources.
